Matthew Schulz | Founder
Born into the "Scooby-Doo generation" and growing up a "Monster Kid", Matthew Schulz's interest in the spirit realm was greatly encouraged when he discovered his uncle and aunt lived within a turn-of-the-20th century haunted mansion holding a storied history. Alhambra, California’s The Pyrenees Castle is now landmarked for being the one-time home of music producer Phil Specter and the location of his companion's, Lana Clarkson, murder.

At the age of eight, Matthew would sneak a shoe box style analog cassette tape recorder into the estate's attic while attempting spirit communication. With no knowledge of paranormal investigation techniques, these efforts would be later known to him as his first EVP [Electronic Voice Phenomenon] recording sessions.

Several decades later, Matthew cut his formal organized investigation teeth on fascinating locations across the nation including the honor of co-creating and co-hosting Paranormal Investigation Tours at the world famous San Diego Whaley House Museum in Old Town San Diego, California.

Currently in his ninth year, Matthew is the current Resident Paranormal Investigator and host of late night weekend Paranormal Investigation Tours aboard Long Beach, California's Queen Mary historic ship, one of the country's Top 10 most haunted locations according to Time Magazine. He has spent over 6,000 hours and hosted over 25.000 guests investigating the ship, and is actively documenting and archiving the ship's
high strangeness for future generations of para-researchers.

One notable project for the Queen Mary and ParaXplorer Project was joining forces with IBM Corporation to create “Queen Mary Ghost Hunting With Watson Internet Of Things (IoT)" that saw custom created surveillance equipment directly connected to IBM's Watson Computer network to assist in paranormal research.

Sharon | Founding Member
Some of Sharon's earliest memories from childhood involve the unexplained. Some still make her catch her breath. Partially growing up in Newport, Rhode Island, with Fort Adams as part of her back yard, she and her brothers played in the fort as children.

Even today, she sees and hears the soldiers as she closes her eyes. Hasn't everyone had scary people hiding in their closet? A young Sharon believed this was the norm, especially since one of her younger sisters, a three-year-old fellow ParaXplorer Dawn, came to her with similar stories. The sisters have shared countless paranormal experiences together.

It is an honor to have intuitive gifts, and there is a responsibility attached to it. Sharon has had many adventures with with Matthew, Jodi and Dawn, and enjoy the respect, communication, commitment and consideration the team members have not only for the unknown, but for each other.

Dawn
| Founding Member
Having grown up in a family of intuitively-gifted siblings, parents and grandparents, and seeing many premonitions and dreams coming to fruition, Dawn brings many years of personal paranormal and unexplained experiences to the Project. Her curiosity of the spirit realm has led her down many paths but always brings her back to the here and now with renewed amazement, knowledge and respect.

Dawn's quiet introspection and sense of calm are valued within the team as is her spirit photography. Dawn and her sister, fellow ParaXplorer Sharon, are closely tied and embrace the bond that goes beyond sisterhood, often connecting to the same experience when investigating. Having worked with her sister, Matthew, and Jodi for many years, Dawn is up for adventure with the ParaXplorer Project.

Jodi (in memoriam) | Founding Member
Jodi's passion for the spiritual came into focus after moving to well known metaphysical hot spot, Sedona, Arizona, in her early twenties. During her seven-year residency along side the Red Rocks, she encountered many unexplained events that peaked a paranormal interest. Jodi is known within the team for her investigation photography, along with sharp evidence review. As she works with gifted ParaXplorer sensitives, Jodi has noticed her own intuitive abilities sharpening.
