A warm Whaley welcome
Violet's room, San Diego WHaley House Museum

PARAXPLORER PROJECT is excited to present the following evidence from team friends, Tim and Vicky, as they chose a late night Whaley House Paranormal Investigation Tour as their introduction to the unknown. There was no predicting the two would leave with one of the most impressive categories of paranormal evidence: A possible recorded disembodied voice from another realm. Below is Tim's account.

A warm Whaley welcome: Voilet says hi

My girlfriend, Vicky, and I signed up for a Whaley House investigation mostly out of curiosity.  We both have an interest in the paranormal, and while Vicky has had some past experiences, I hadn't. I went into this investigation with some doubt, even remembering saying to one guest that since I am there, nothing will happen. There were many times that I had gone to places in North and South Carolina that were reported to be haunted and friends of mine whom I trust reported seeing something they could not explain. Every time I was there nothing would occur.  I was proven wrong this night.

Vicky and I were in Violet’s bedroom doing an EVP session. We left the room and walked down the hall to the theater and spoke with a docent who worked there. She said she does not like to go in that room because there was too much power in it. I immediately walked back to the bedroom. As soon as I cleared the doorway, a woman’s voice said “Hi” directly in my right ear. It was very clear, loud, and I not only heard it, but I felt it as well. It was almost as though the pressure in the room had briefly increased. I had just turned my camcorder on and was able to capture it. Vicky had a recording device which also captured it and more, but unfortunately it was in my old computer and I burned up the hard drive, losing it forever. Even though I was only able to retain the “Hi”, I am happy with that, that experience has brought me back to the Whaley house on two more occasions and I have never been disappointed.

ParaXplorer note: Since the vocalization happened immediately after Tim depressed the record button, it's heard a split second after clicking the play button. Not to worry, the voice is repeated three times.
